We have been so impressed with the India projects that have been brought into school since half term. Thank you to everybody who provided that bit of extra help the children may have needed to complete them. The children are busy presenting them to their own classes prior to our exhibition on the 28th.
On the 28th children are allowed to wear Indian inspired outfits, but this is not compulsory, so your child may wear their normal uniform if they don't want to dress up. We will be inviting parents/carers/family members to view all of the projects from 2.15p.m on the 28th. The exhibition will remain open until 3.30 p.m for you also to view after school. We will send all exhibits home on Firday 29th.

14 th September: We were really pleased to see so many of you at our Meet the Teacher session. We hope it was informative and that we answered some of the questions you may have. As discussed we are always available to speak to before registration at 8.55 a.m and at the end of the school day. Should you wish a longer chat an appointment can be made. We handed out the homework policy (see below) and everything we talked about is on the attached Power Point. meet_the_teacher_2013.ppt
All children should now have reading journals to record their reading sessions at home. Your children should have these journals in school every day as all journals will be looked at by the class teacher this week.
We have set Mathletics this week. As far as we are aware Mathletics is working well. Should you have any problems getting on to Mathletics please let us know so that we can sort out problems early on. All children have been issued with their passwords as a reminder and these are found in the front of their maths homework books. We will test children on their 2x,5x and 10x tables this week.

We met coach Freddie for the first time this week. The children worked really hard and were very tired at the end of the lesson! As a reminder outdoor P.E is on Monday (Owls and Woodpeckers) and Tuesday (Penguins) Indoor P.E is Wednesday. Thank you for labelling kits, it really does help when 30 children are all getting changed quickly at one time. A few children are still missing plimsolls/trainers.
Individual / family photographs will take place Tuesday 24th September (and possibly Wednesday 25th September).
Parent Council are holding a meeting 3:30 on Monday 30th September.
We have an author visit on 26th September - David Fuller. David will be talking to the children about his popular Alfie Jones series of books and explain what inspires him as a writer. David will also be selling and signing his books at the price of £4.5.
The Alfie Jones series centres around a football mad boy whose chance meeting with a mysterious fortune teller at a fun fair is set to alter the course of his life. Please visit the website www.alfie-jones.co.uk for more information,
